the Lord has really just put the importance of the word “steadfast” on my heart lately.

dictionary definition: resolutely firm and unwavering.

how many times in the bible does it mention our Father’s steadfast love for us? approximately 219, i just looked. it’s used so often, it seems casual. but we diminish its impact.

psalm 13:5. but i have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.

psalm 33:5. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.

psalm 52:1. the steadfast love of God endures all the day.

psalm 59:16. but I will sing of your strength;I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.

hosea 2:19. I will betroth you to me in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy.

steadfast. never ending. never ceasing. never stopping. constant. always. enduring. limitless. forever. despite what we do, it’s present. we can’t shake it. we can’t earn it. Jesus’ sacrifice payed that price for us.

any holiday that involves bonfires and fireworks and noise makers and toccoa and 4 wheelers and sweet old friends and sweet new friends is a very, very good holiday.

i am truly blessed by the love of a kind Father’s heart. a Father whose love never runs out, never runs dry. our Daddy knows we are flawed, but pursues us anyway. all the time. every day. joyjoyjoy.
